3 Carb Costco Keto Breakfast Sandwich from Red’s
Fan favorite favorite Costco Keto breakfast option from the freezer aisle is back! These are a quick and easy low carb breakfast “sandwich” – but they only come back to Costco once or twice a year, and I get asked about them ALL THE TIME because they are a super DEAL at Costco (and really expensive in the grocery store!)…so those of you who like them, you’ll want to stock up when you see them because you probably won’t see them again for six months!
Red’s Keto-friendly Egg’Wich with turkey sausage and cheese is all natural, gluten free and made with cage free eggs. They come individually wrapped and are ready in under 2 minutes in the microwave- I think these breakfast sandwiches are pretty tasty given the convenience and ultra low carb count. And to boot IMO they’re a pretty good source of iron and calcium, plus under 200 calories.
UPDATE: April 2025 – Red’s Keto Breakfast Sandwiches are back at Costco! These are keto meaning there is NO BREAD. They “sandwich” is made with eggs – this is good if you’re trying not to eat carbs and a disappointment if you don’t realize it by looking at the box – know before you buy ๐
Why We Like Them – Our Family Review
We like these. They are super easy to make and my 9-year old can make them himself in the microwave. My picky 10-year old won’t eat them, but no surprises there. They are not the most delicious breakfast sammy you ever had…but considering the carbs and calories and that they are convenience food…all considering, these are a recommended buy from our family. A little Cholula never hurt one ๐
It’s important to note that these are a LOW CARB breakfast sandwich, and there is NO BREAD. The sausage is sandwiched by two egg patties. The photo looks almost like sandwich thins or something similar…but they are egg patties, as this is virtually a no carb breakfast. This is good news to some, bad to others…just always want to make sure you know what you are buying before you buy ๐

Costco no longer carries the Reds breakfast sandwiches
Yes – they come and go – lately it seems they on appear once or twice a year – not as often as members would like I think!
I just discovered these at my Costco in Clearwater FL and tried one this morning. I cooked exactly as instructed and it was delicious and cooked fully. Loved the product.
This is ridiculous. I waited for months and mnths for them to get back in stock. I bought two boxes and used them sparingly. Now they are out of stock again! There isn’t even a space in the freezer. I am so tired of this. I will NOT bay $3.29 for ONE sandwich! That’s TWICE the Costco price. WHY do they keep discontinuing this product in their store???? SOOOO frustrating!
The product strategy at Costco is one where products are only available for a short period time, and those that sold well are brought back. There are some that are permanent (or near permanent) but not many, especially in frozen breakfast foods. The Red’s sandwiches are really popular, keeping my fingers crossed they’re brought back more frequently!
I can’t believe that Costco or anyone else thinks that this is a viable product. Nowhere on any of the packaging does it indicate whether ANY of this product is pre-cooked… or raw. We are expected to guess? Instructions (only for 1000 watt microwave) just say cook thoroughly.
Personal test: Finally got to the 165ยฐ instructed safe temperature after about 4 minutes (not the 50 seconds for one side, then flip for an additional 50 seconds on the remaining side.
There is no muffin on these critters, though the packaging on the box, without thorough inspection, might lead one to believe that there was. Our experience was that the egg was probably fully cooked, the meat was either raw… or maybe slightly cooked… and the cheese slice, well after the 4 minutes cooking time became a running plastic-like mess… most of which was no longer on the product.
The taste and palatability was a cross between soggy cardboard and chewy mush.
I use an 1100 watt microwave and have never had a problem with the 50 seconds on each side. Never did it take anywhere NEAR 4 MINUTES!
Where did you see it say 4 minutes? I think the post says 2 minutes? Did I mistype it somewhere else in the post? Let me know so I can fix it! Thanks!!
