Costco Apple Pie

Costco Apple Pie

UPDATED November 2, 2023: While Fall is apple season, the Costco Apple Pie is available in-store for both Fall and Spring family holidays! Costco’s fresh baked apple pie is baked fresh in each local Costco bakery and it weighs in at over 4.5 lbs! This giant sized pie will feed a LOT of people so if you’re looking for good and easy dessert hosting ideas…the Costco apple pie might be a hit! From Friendsgiving to potlucks to a backyard BBQ, this easy dessert shortcut is a crowd pleaser! It’s available in the Costco bakery nearly year round – we only occasionally note it missing, and of course there are a whole lot more in stock in the Fall.

For a pie this huge, Costco’s apple pie a great deal…just like it’s sister, the Costco pumpkin pie, who was still $6 this past Fall!

.

Note: The Costco Apple Pie is NOT made using organic apples any longer, and it no longer features vegan-friendly ingredients. Previous iterations (which have been discontinued) used organic apples and did not have milk or eggs. We’ll update this if we spot an ingredient change back to organic or vegan-friendly.

Our Costco Pumpkin Pie Review

We’ve almost never met a pie we didn’t like, let’s be real. Especially apple pies! The Costco apple pie is no exception! Honestly, for twelve bucks, this is a very good pie. It would be hard (if even possible) to make it homemade for much less!?

It’s definitely a sweet pie (not overly sweet and definitely not on the tart side…but you expect that right?)…and honestly, it’s really good. No complaints from us. We buy it, we eat it, we like it and we’ll buy it again this year!

For our family, we love to cook and we make a lot of homemade food for Thanksgiving. But everything can’t be homemade. So when there’s a good, reasonably healthy and super easy option to shortcut part of the Thanksgiving meal like the Costco Apple Pie…it’s a no brainer. And honestly, you just can’t beat the price!

It’s a great dessert option at your Thanksgiving this year, and we recommend it!

  1. It has milk and eggs in it according to their website, so not vegan. https://www.costcobusinessdelivery.com/costco-bakery-double-crust-apple-pie.product.100444636.html

    1. Milk and eggs are not in the ingredients list on the pies sold in my store – the ingredients are listed in the original post section. They are baked in the local bakeries which have potential cross contamination (which I suspect is why it’s labeled like that) but milk and eggs are not listed in the ingredients.

  2. I came here after trying to find out which times of year Costco offers the apple pies. In Los Angeles, they were only $10 at Christmas! And I would consider them more on the tart side. Definitely made with firm Granny Smith apples. Next time I see these pies, I’m buying extras for the freezer.
