This old fashioned boneless ham at Costco is easy to carve, and comes in smaller sized pieces which is also a nice option for a smaller group or those who are serving two meat options on Thanksgiving!
What We Like About the Applewood Smoked Ham at Costco
Firstly, we appreciate that it’s boneless and a smaller size – at about three pounds per piece, this ham works great for a weeknight family meal, and the leftovers are perfect for ham sandwiches! It’s also a great Thanksgiving ham for a smaller crowd, or to be served alongside a turkey. Easy to manage in terms of size, yet quite a large piece of flavorful ham for ten bucks!
We love to serve our ham with a homemade mac n’ cheese – this is our favorite recipe! (It’s from Martha Stewart). It’s a bit of a chore, but 100% worth it! We use gruyere (not parmesan). Sometimes we add some mushrooms sauteed in the Urbani Truffle Butter too! I also recommend serving with pineapple slices (especially for kids) – add maraschino cherries for a little extra decorative look for a holiday meal table..

How We Prepare the Boneless Ham from Costco
We add brown sugar glaze…because…kids. I put it in a slow cooker for about 3-5 hours on low. It’s fully cooked, really just needs to be warmed (but please defer to packaging for any suggested internal temp readings!!).
