Impossible Chicken Nuggets Review

The Impossible “Chicken” Nuggets are GOOD! I made them yesterday after school for my kids to have them taste test them too – they agreed, they’re good! I baked mine on convection on a basket tray, but I have a feeling these would actually be okay in the microwave…I’m going to try them microwaved tomorrow.

.

My kids were VERY skeptical when I told them what I was cooking – both my kids are meat eaters – but they agreed to taste them. And guess what? They ate them all. And then asked for more (both of them asked for more!!). Consensus was they pretty much just tasted like nuggets, and they liked them!

I liked them too, though I would note they are a little salty. I don’t mind that so much myself (I like my food well salted) – but I mention in case you don’t like salty food…know before you go, you know.

As far as texture and flavor, Impossible really nailed it on the nuggets. They are really comparable to a classic nugget of ground chicken (in case that isn’t obvious…we’re not comparing them to strips/tenderloins). To be honest, I suspect that most ground nuggets are in large part filler anyway…and the breading was exactly same. They are absolutely a good substitute for chicken nuggets in terms of taste, texture, and look!
