November 2024 Update: The premade turkey dinner kit now available in the Costco Deli and it’s the same price as last year – in fact, there’s no inflation on most of your Thanksgiving meal from Costco this year including whole turkeys and many sides! I see this hit stores approximately 1 week before Thanksgiving. With the turkey being raw poultry in these, you’ll want to cook it within a few days of purchase – don’t buy it too early ๐Ÿ™‚

.

You’ll find this popular complete Thanksgiving dinner kit hits the prepared food/meat department refrigerated deli cases about one week before Thanksgiving, with a sell by about 5 days after the purchase date. The turkey breast is uncooked, and you should plan for about 2 hours to prepare the entire kit. Scroll down to see price info, serving sizes and cooking instructions. You can either print the cooking directions or toggle “hands free mode” on to keep your computer from sleeping while you’re using them (on laptop/desktop). Don’t forget the grab some apple pie or pumpkin pie from the Costco bakery we recommend both of those!

Don’t forget, Costco is closed on Thanksgiving day, so do your shopping early! Happy Thanksgiving!

Costco Thanksgiving Meal Kit Includes

Each kit includes 1/2 of a bone-in turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy.

Servings in the Turkey Dinner Kit

The Thanksgiving Turkey kit package says it serves 7-8 adults. Maybe I just eat a lot, but personally I think that’s generous…I would plan on 5-6 if it were me (and was going to serve some salad, rolls, or other sides), or 4 if you have big eaters, aren’t serving additional sides and/or want a little leftovers.

Full disclosure, I’m an Italian Mom and I am known to over prepare food, so take the former with a grain of salt. Luckily, I also really like leftover Thanksgiving sandwiches lol, so I prefer to err on making too much ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Hello! I think 180 is for the temp you need in the thigh – since this is just the breast it’s 165. I personally cook it longer because I prefer it that way – but the instructions do state 165 for the Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Meal kit ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. What does the date on the package say for sell by or use by? I generally think prepared foods are okay for at least 2 days past the sell by date (of course that’s highly subjective – but I tend to be on the lenient side I’m not a strict sell-by date person). Personally, I’d just keep it in the fridge, and perhaps move the green beans to an airtight container/ziplock. If you are the type who prefers to err with greater caution or are by the book on sell by dates, then depending on the sell by on your package, freezing may be the option for you. Sorry I don’t have a clear cut answer for you…hope that helps thought and thank you for visiting!!

  1. This was available today at my store in Frisco, TX. My question is do I need to freeze it or can it stay in the refrigerator until Thanksgiving next week?

    1. Thanks for dropping by! There should be a sell by date on the package. I would guess that it will be okay in the fridge a few days past the sell by date which hopefully gets you to Thursday (but that’s ultimately up to you to decide how long past it – if at all – you are comfortable with).

  2. Where area of the country are you finding these in? My costco in Austin, TX don’t have them and don’t know what I’m talking about.

    1. These were in Marina del Rey, CA. When I was there on Monday they still weren’t out yet – I’m going today to check to see if they’re in stock yet. It’s just a short period before THanksgiving. I thought they were in all stores last year – I wonder if they’re just not out yet, or it’s always possible they don’t have them. Hopefully they just weren’t out yet ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. I live in Wenatchee, WA, , which is in the foothills in the eastern part if the state. I purchased the meal kit for $36 on Nov 18. My shopper tells me that there are no boneless turkey breasts in any of the local grocery stores, so this is a good option for me, as I am disabled.

      1. Thank you for sharing! Yes, I haven’t seen a boneless breast at Costco – which is surprising actually! They do have a boneless ham, but not the same ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again for leaving the details, I can’t wait to get mine!

    1. I’m not sure about that. There’s probably a good chance it would all come out fine…but I haven’t done it personally and I don’t think I’ve ever frozen most of the items in the kit so I’m reluctant to say yes. You could ask someone in the deli department, they may have more insight.

    1. They are available starting about two weeks before Thanksgiving, you’ll find them in an open refrigerated case in the meat department – I don’t believe you can (or need to) order them – in my store there were plenty last year, right up to the day before Thanksgiving.

      1. I have 3+ people for TG this year. How many people does the meal kit feed ?
Is the turkey precooked ? Will it be dry if you have to reheat ?
