The Kirkland Signature Gingerbread Decorating Kits at Costco are back again this year for the winter holidays in 2022.  These decorate-your-own authentic German gingerbread kits contain three extra large jumbo gingerbread men plus all the things you need to decorate them. There’s no mixing or baking and unlike the gingerbread house kits, these are soft and meant to be eaten! Great Christmas activity for the kids!

Why We Like Them

Costco’s Gingerbread Man Decorating Kits are an easy and fun winter holiday activity for adults and kids of all ages! Each pack will have plenty for 3 kids to use to make their own Gingerbread Man!

We also love these Gingerbread Cookie Kits because these are edible gingerbread cookies that you EAT, so they don’t become something that lives on the counter for weeks and weeks like a traditional gingerbread house. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good Gingerbread House activity too…but we appreciate that these don’t become clutter on our kitchen counter once the kids finish their activity fun!

While there’s some debate about the value of 3 gingerbread man cookies for $12, in the end, we view these as a kids activity and not a pure play cookie find. They’re generally assumed to be manufactured by Stockmeyer Cookies, however labeling does not confirm this. If you really just want gingerbread cookies, these aren’t the right choice for you. I love these gluten free ginger cookies!

The same kit cost $9.79 in-store last year. That’s over a two dollar increase in price year-over-year (thanks inflation).

You can find a Kirkland Signature gingerbread decorating kits at Costco in the seasonal area in the center of each Costco warehouse. Occasionally, I find that these are moved into the snack / cookie aisle at some point during the holidays so I suggest checking there if you don’t see them in the seasonal center section of the warehouse.
