Costco Kamado Grill
Ceramic charcoal grills like the Costco Kamado Grill by Louisiana Grills are a great choice for people who love to grill meat (and all sorts of other things too like Pizza, for example!). The Kamado ceramic charcoal grill will pack amazing charcoal flavor and keep your meat moist and tender. It also offers many benefits over a traditional charcoal grill, such as airtightness which means it heats and cooks evenly and there are no ashes flying into your food! The gorgeous bright red Costco Kamado Ceramic Charcoal Grill is not only eye catching, it will grill some fantastic food too!
Add this to my goal backyard update for the summer! This grill sparkles, it’s just gorgeous! Wow! I haven’t used a grill from this brand, but good friends of ours have the green egg and we’ve had plenty of food from a ceramic charcoal Kamado grill, and the food is truly amazing. We really enjoy it. The pizza oven aspect is super cool – we are pizza people – and my husband uses the regular BBQ but its not nearly as even and hot as these – these ceramic charcoal grills are really a foodie must have!
See below for a price comparison of this against the Kamado Joe and the Big Green Egg! This price point has tremendous value – I’d love to know if anyone has this cooker and what your thoughts/recommendations are! Please comment below!

Kamado Grill Costco Item Number & Price
It’s currently sold out online, but it’s still available in-store! But the good news is that it’s $100 cheaper in-store.
Louisiana Grills 24″ Kamado Style Ceramic Charcoal Grill is Costco Item Number # 1900795 and has a Retail Price in-Store of $599.99.
Costco Kamado – Joe Big Joe II Cost Comparison
The Big Joe II 24″ Ceramic Charcoal Grill from Kamado Joe will run you around $1900. That’s more than 3x the cost of the Louisiana Grills 24″ Kamado style Grill at Costco in-store.
Costco Kamado – Big Green Egg 24″ XLarge Cost Comparison
The Big Green Egg 24″ XLarge will run you around $1299 for the center cooking unit. It doesn’t come with a stand/table, I think many people build them into custom counters – but for comparison sake I think it’s fair to factor a few hundred bucks in for something comparable to what comes with the Louisiana with fold out shelves, say $300 which would make it around $1599 for an apples to apples comparison.

One of the best things about a ceramic charcoal grill is that it will help you to get moist, tender meat every time. If you have ever cooked a steak on the gas grill or in your oven and ended up with dry pieces of beef, then this might be just what you need. The Kamado charcoal grill does an excellent job at locking in the moisture and making sure that your food comes out perfectly juicy every time!
My red Komodo has a broken hinge spring the unit was bought on the 11 February 2020 at Costco Aberdeen Scotland where can i get a replacement part and is this covered by the guarantee.
If you haven’t reached out to the manufacturer you might try that first, they very well may ship you the part and that would probably the easiest solution…otherwise I would suggest using the Chat feature on Costco.com to ask customer service for advice and/or ensure it’s covered for return before you schlep it back to the store – their return policy is generally VERY good and they’ll accept most items back even years later – but of course you probably want the grill so hopefully the manufacturer can help! Here is their site: https://louisiana-grills.com/
Thank you Marie I will try both.
Kind Regards
Sandy
