Costco Closing Online Photo Service; Announces Partnership with Shutterfly

News! Costco closing online photo services. Effective January 2023, Costco will no longer offer online photo services. Costco simultaneously announced that all photo printing services will be moving to Shutterfly. Orders can be placed through January 27, 2023. Beginning January 28, 2023, CostcoPhotoCenter.com will no longer be available.

In lieu of it’s own in-house photo and printing services, Costco Members can now order on Shutterfly with a 51% negotiated discount. Canadian Members can visit the Costco Shutterfly Canada photo center here.

What Do We Think

We understood when the in-store Costco Photo kiosks closed…but we’re really sad to see online Costco Photo close – we just covered the super deals on Costco’s custom holiday cards recently and it’s unfortunate those won’t be available in the future.

Bottom line for us…we regularly see Shutterfly offer 50% everything, so the 51% discount Costco Members will get doesn’t score any points with us.

I’m confused, it looks like Costco is teamed up with shutterflycanada.ca and so just to clarify this site must be new because none of the items are available yet (photo books, calendars, etc.) so does anyone know when they will be available? If not I’m going to just order from Shutterfly.com but its USD so it gets quite expensive for canadians.

  2. Is there a Canadian site with shutterfly with Canadian prices? Or do Canadians have to order photo related products via the US shutterfly site?
