Play Ideas for Your Costco Water Table:

If the kids do start to get a little bored of it day in and day out…here are some ideas from yours truly to mix things up:

  • replace all the accessories with kitchen tools for the day – mixing spoons, measuring spoons, measuring cups, small mixing bowls, ladles, colander, etc.
  • add bubble stuff (or dishsoap) and make it a bubble water table (note that dishsoap kills grass…so you’ll want that activity to be on hardscape/concrete)
  • add a colored bath tablet or two and color the water
  • drain the water and remove the upper layer and put rice or beans in the lower half and make it a sensory bin (can add plastic dinos or something else to dig out)
  • freeze plastic dinos in ice blocks in the freezer, and fill cleaned out ketchup bottles with warm water and and “excavate” the dinos from the ice by spraying the water on the ice blocks

I’m sure a quick google search can provide many more…but this Costco water table looks like a nice size table for the price! I’m a fan!
