Are the Sous Vide Duck Legs at Costco Good?
We tried them and liked them! They were generously sized drumsticks, had a great sauce, and were super tender. Even our 7 year old liked them! Mr. 8 yo didn’t but he doesn’t like anything so disregard that opinion! LOL.
New to Sous Vide?
Sous vide (pronounced soo-VEED) has become very popular for a good reason. The fancy french name “sous vide” may be intimidating if you’re new to it, but it’s really just cooking food at low temperatures in vacuum-sealed food bag submerged in water. The water temperature is generally anywhere from 125°F to 195°F. Yep, that is it. Not so fancy, but it really does produce pretty soft, moist, tender foods and it’s grown in popularity to make everything from egg bites to steak, or in this case, sous vide duck legs!
What is Char Siu?
Char siu is a popular and traditional Cantonese cuisine flavor generally used to prepare barbecued pork. It is classified as a type of siu mei, or a Cantonese roasted meat.
