Kids Halloween Costumes at Costco

Halloween Costumes at Costco

Costco carries GREAT kids Halloween costumes in-store! This year for Halloween 2024 I’m super excited that all the licensed Halloween Costco are BACK! Last year in 2023 they disappeared…but once again all the Disney princess, Harry Potter, Pokemon, and more kids Halloween cartoon character costume favorites are back again! Honestly, Costco’s price on these is AMAZING. My kids have been the Harry Potter (I’ve kept it and worn it myself several times!), Pokemon and they’ve also had the Fireman costumes in many sizes over the years – these Fireman costumes were worn for dress up a million times!

Between the licensed/branded costumes and non-licensed costumes, Costco has a huge variety of Halloween Costumes for kids of all ages from toddlers to big kids – Licensed costumes are $32 and non-licensed are $30. Trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, Halloween costume parties, school costume parades, dress-up and more…their costumes are as good or better quality than any of the costumes-in-a-bag you’d order online, they have loads of details and most come with various costume accessories attached to them. For thirty-ish bucks, I think these are a great value and quality for the price – we’re big fans of the Costco Halloween costumes!

Keep your eye out for those Pumpkins and Bats ravioli in your Costco warehouse, they make a really fun festive spooky supper before trick-or-treat time!

Costume Sizing

Costumes from Costco come in kids sizes. Some Halloween costumes at costco in-store will fit older elementary aged children, but for adults, teens and pre-teens, you should plan to shop somewhere else. I will say, the Harry Potter Costume is very flexible in sizing if you get the largest size (it’s a cape…so I’m a 5’3″ and I can wear the kids’ Large size without a problem…that’s one option I recommend looking at for older kids or adults maybe!).

2024 Costco Halloween Costumes for Kids In-Store

These are a few of the Halloween Costumes you’ll find in-store at your local Costco – please note that these costumes are for kids.

Non-licensed Halloween costumes are also online at Costco.com – see next paragraph – so you can see what some of them look like even if you’re planning to purchase your kids’ Halloween costume in-store at Costco. For the licensed costumes, shop early as they are in-store only and some of the popular characters can tend to sell out early.

The thing I love most about the Halloween costumes at Costco is all the details and accessories – I like not having to purchase a bunch of separate and additional props for a Halloween Costume. That tends to make it twice as expensive – warp speed.

From helmets, to wings, belts, wands, walkie talkies, shoe covers, gloves, hoods, tiaras, axes, and more – the kid’s costumes are really detailed and fun! Keep your eye out for these costumes:

  • Star Wars Mandalorian (multiple styles)
  • Marvel
  • Fairies
  • Unicorn
  • Witch
  • Pirate (several variations including a pink version)
  • Ice Princess (Frozen vibes but not a Disney Princess costume)
  • Fireman
  • Ninja
  • Swat
  • Pilot
  • Spider-Man
  • Flamingo
  • Mermaid
  • Peacock
  • Viking
  • Astronaut
  • Disney Princesses
  • Disney Stitch
  • Harry Potter
  • Pokemon
  • Disney Frozen

A number of the non-licensed kids Halloween Costumes at Costco are also available online. It’s a few dollars more online to include shipping – but even if you’re planning to purchase in-store you can see what the costumes look like, what accessories they come with, sizing, etc. See next paragraph.

Halloween Costumes at Costco – Online

You’ll also find a selection of Costco Halloween Costumes online. These are only available in smaller sizes 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8. The kids Halloween costumes online at Costco.com cost about $4 extra to include shipping and there are a number of styles including:

Pick and Order Halloween Costumes Early for Best Selection

Costco often sells out of popular costumes. So while it may seem really early…if you want to grab these costumes at these prices…I highly recommend buying or ordering them early! Especially the licensed costumes.

We’re big fans of showing kids all the options online and ordering online and being done with the Costume picking early! In the past, we’ve let the “discussion” go on for too long and the kids flip-flop and are indecisive and we always end up ordering their Halloween Costumes for a premium price at the last second (the Party City near is is total mayhem for the 4 days preceding Halloween! Going near that place is an easy way to lose my mind, lol!).

I highly suggest you set a pick your costume date well in advance of Halloween – pick the Costume – buy it and be done. But do as I say, not as I do…ya know…lol.

Return Policy for Halloween Costumes at Costco

The good part about purchasing Halloween costumes at Costco is that you can return them – so if hearts are broken over an early costume choice/decision and you decide to change, Costco members can take the unused Halloween Costume back to Costco for a refund!

Switch Witch

Now, as for all that Halloween Candy your kids will eat, you’re on your own! lol. You can try the switch witch for younger kids – we got away with that when they were little! Before bed, kids pick 5 pieces of candy (or whatever amount you want) to keep, and place the rest of their candy by the front door. In the morning, the Switch Witch leaves a small toy/gift in exchange for the candy.

Our school also collects it and sends to troops overseas! Can check with local Cub/Girl scouts to see if any are collecting it!

  1. I went yesterday and noticed there werenโ€™t many licensed costumes. I saw the ones you mentioned s well as Harry Potter Gryffindor costumes. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. oooh, my store didn’t have Harry Potter – thanks for sharing!! I’ll look out for them! I had one awhile back and I liked it because it was so easy to put the cape and scarf on over anything and be in costume, but I lent it out and it never came back (or came back but didn’t make it back into the costume bin, hard to say lol!). Thanks again!
