Costco Recall: Tip Restraint Kits Sold with Springhill Designs Furniture

Costco Recall

This week, there was a new recall from Costco on the Springhill Designs Furniture Tip Kits. As a mom and a Californian, tip kits are really important especially for large furniture or pieces where kids can climb…so I wanted to share the recent Costco recall on the tip kits sold with a few different pieces of Springhill Designs furniture. They are manufactured by New Age, and below please find the Costco Recall Safety Notice Summary as well as the link to the official recall details.

  • Issue: Recall of the plastic tip restraint kit, not the furniture itself. The plastic zip tie in the kit can become brittle or break.
  • Purchased Item: Clothing storage unit (dresser, chest, etc.) from Springhill Designs, bought between November 2019 and December 2023 at Costco.
  • Action Needed: Check the manufacturing date on your unit (November 2019 to December 2023). If it matches and the tip kit is plastic, contact Alliance4Safety for a free replacement kit.
